To further enhance the level of criminal defense practice and promote the exchange of experience and intellectual sparks among colleagues, on June 28, 2025, students from the Peking University 520 Criminal Defense Class visited our firm for guidance and exchange. They successfully held a criminal defense practice exchange and sharing session in the conference room on the 23rd floor of our firm. The exchange meeting gathered several senior criminal defense lawyers and invited experts, who engaged in in-depth sharing and discussion around hot and difficult issues in criminal defense practice. The atmosphere was lively and informative.
At the beginning of the exchange meeting, Zhong Qisheng, the Party branch secretary and senior partner of He Bang Law Firm, delivered an opening speech, emphasizing the importance of continuous learning and skill improvement in a complex legal environment. He warmly encouraged the participating colleagues to speak freely, laying an open and mutually beneficial tone for the exchange meeting.
The participating lawyers engaged in in-depth exchanges and discussions on cutting-edge issues, successful experiences, and insights in criminal defense practice. Lawyer Zhang Yinghui provided highly practical guidance for procedural defense, drawing from her successful case of obtaining a not-guilty verdict in a non-bribery case. Lawyer He Kuikui detailed the process of handling Hainan's first successful case of removing gang membership, offering valuable references for handling similar complex cases. Lawyer Zhang Wenming led his colleagues in exploring practical techniques for criminal charges (private prosecution), demonstrating how to standardize, streamline, and visualize complex prosecution work. Lawyer Hu Qinyan shared her unique case-handling philosophy, demonstrating through vivid case reviews how the integration of "tactics" and "principles" can lead to excellent defense. Lawyer Wang Zhi focused on lawyers' core business abilities, providing an in-depth analysis of how to accurately grasp client needs and establish professional trust relationships during negotiations. The exchange meeting was also honored to invite Professor Wang Yuejin, an expert in forensic medicine. Professor Wang, drawing from his extensive experience as an expert auxiliary person in numerous cases, explained many valuable experiences in simple terms, providing a highly valuable cross-disciplinary perspective for criminal defense lawyers to understand "silent evidence".
At the end of the exchange meeting, lawyer Yang Aibin, chairman of the partner meeting of He Bang Law Firm, made a concluding speech. Drawing from his many years of professional experience, lawyer Yang sincerely shared his insights and reflections on his career journey. His heartfelt words were filled with passion and dedication to the legal profession. His valuable experience and insights lit a beacon for young lawyers to follow, and also resonated with senior colleagues.

It provided not only theoretical guidance from a high-level perspective but also practical tips that are grounded in reality, as well as cross-disciplinary thinking collisions. It provided a valuable exchange platform for criminal defense colleagues, effectively promoting experience sharing and thinking collisions, and enhancing peer cohesion. This criminal defense business exchange and sharing session was a successful attempt.
