At the beginning of the evening, numerous heavyweight guests arrived at the scene, adding a solemn and international atmosphere to the 30th anniversary celebration of He Bang Law Firm. During the speech segment for leaders and guests, Huang Zhiwei, the director of He Bang Law Firm, delivered a welcome speech. On behalf of all the staff of He Bang, he expressed heartfelt gratitude to the leaders of various departments, the guidance and care from the Lawyers Association, as well as the support from all sectors of society, universities, industry peers, and customers. The evening show and banquet were filled with splendid performances, fully showcasing the profound cultural heritage and positive spirit of Hebang. The acrobatic performance "Dream of Butterfly" presented by Guangzhou Acrobatic Art Theater kicked off the show. This performance had been invited to participate in the 2014 CCTV Spring Festival Gala and won the "President of the Republic Award" at the 36th "Tomorrow" World Circus Festival in France in 2015, providing a visual feast for the audience and earning rounds of applause and cheers.
The poetry recitation segment was equally captivating. The first poem, "Seven-Line Verse. Rebuilding Glory," was specially composed by Professor Cheng Xinhe, a doctoral supervisor at the Sun Yat-sen University School of Law and one of the founders of China's economic law, for the 30th anniversary of Hebang's establishment. It was recited by Dr. Wang Yi, the former general legal counsel of Guangfang Industry and Trade Group Co., Ltd. and vice president of the Guangdong Recitation Association. The second poem, "Ode to Hebang's Thirty Years," was written by Chairman Yang Aibin of the Hebang Partnership Meeting and once again recited with passion by Dr. Wang. The emotional recitation expressed praise and expectations for Hebang's 30-year development journey, showcasing the love and dedication of all Hebang colleagues to the legal profession, as well as their firm confidence in future development.
The song "The Rolling Yangtze River Flows Eastward and Fades Away" sung by lawyer Lu Xuhui, as well as the duet "Story of Time" and "Glorious Years" played on guitar by lawyer Yang Qing's performance team and Chen Ningsi and Guo Yeke, also won rounds of applause from the audience, showcasing the versatility and positive spirit of the staff at He Bang Law Firm. These wonderful performances not only added joy and vitality to the evening, but also highlighted the unique charm of He Bang Law Firm as a law firm with social responsibility and cultural commitment.
Award ceremony, recognizing excellence
The award ceremony is a recognition and commendation for the outstanding individuals who have emerged during the past three decades of Hebang's development, and also the best response to the unremitting efforts and hard work of all Hebang people. The law firm has specially established four awards: the Brilliant Years Award, the Golden Years Award, the Gilt Years Award, and the Together We Go Award.
The "Illustrious Years Award" is presented to lawyers who have been with Hebang for 30 years. They are Yang Aibin, Huang Zhiwei, Yang Qing, Zhang Wenping, and Tan Chi. With their 30 years of perseverance and dedication, they have witnessed the growth and transformation of Hebang, serving as its pioneers and founders. With their firm belief, outstanding professionalism, and selfless dedication, they have laid a solid foundation for the development of Hebang and made significant contributions to the cause of China's legal construction.
The Golden Age Award is specially presented to lawyer Wang Qi, co-chair of the Partners' Meeting. Originally a senior lawyer at Guangdong Xinyang Law Firm, lawyer Wang Qi led his team to join He Bang Law Firm 13 years ago and made outstanding contributions to its development. Especially during his tenure as the director of the Management Committee from 2018 to 2021, he played a significant role in the standardized management of He Bang Law Firm. His joining injected new vitality and innovative thinking into He Bang Law Firm, promoting the diversified development and international cooperation of its business, and making great contributions to the firm's take-off.
The "Golden Years Award" is presented to 21 lawyers, including Zhong Qisheng and Li Wei, who have been with Hebang Law Firm for 20 years. They have played a pivotal role in the development of Hebang Law Firm, composing the firm's illustrious history with wisdom and perseverance. With their exceptional professional skills, rigorous work ethic, and strong sense of responsibility, they have earned a sterling reputation for Hebang Law Firm, setting an example and benchmark for the legal service industry in China.
The "Together We Go" Award is presented to lawyers who have been with Hebang for 10 years. A total of 45 lawyers have received this honor. They are the new force of Hebang, injecting new impetus into the development of the law firm. With ten years, they have interpreted the meaning of perseverance and excellence. With their full enthusiasm, innovative spirit, and solid professional knowledge, they have made positive contributions to the business expansion and service quality improvement of Hebang, demonstrating the style and responsibility of the younger generation of lawyers in Hebang.
At the end of the celebration, Secretary Zhong Qisheng of the Party branch of Guangdong Hebang Law Firm delivered a heartfelt message. He quoted the ancient adage "At thirty, one should be established in one's virtue, achievements, and words," and urged Hebang to continue to cultivate virtue, make contributions, and speak out at this new starting point.
