On the afternoon of August 8, 2024, the "Shanmei Jianshe" Charity Law Special Training Seminar, sponsored by the Jianshe Street Community Charity Fund of Guangzhou Charity Federation and the Jianshe Street "Double Hundred Project" Social Work Station, and co-organized by Guangdong Hebang Law Firm, was successfully held in the multi-function hall on the second floor of the Jianshe Street Cultural Station in Yuexiu District, Guangzhou. The purpose of this event is to promote the legal popularization of the Charity Law of the People's Republic of China (revised in 2023 and officially implemented on September 5, 2024), enhance the quality and influence of public welfare and charity services provided by members of community charity fund organizations and volunteer leaders, standardize their knowledge of charity, and foster a strong atmosphere of studying and applying the Charity Law effectively.
On the day of the event, with the strong support of the Public Health Committee and Public Service Office of Jianshe Street in Yuexiu District, Guangzhou, as well as the Jianshe Street Community Charity Fund of Guangzhou Charity Federation and the "Double Hundred Project" Social Work Station of Jianshe Street, our lawyers Chen Qiqian and Liang Jing actively fulfilled their duties as community advisors. They conducted a special training session on the "Charity Law" titled "Benevolence and Beauty Construction", sharing charitable legal knowledge with members of the Jianshe Street Community Charity Fund and community volunteer leaders.
At this learning session, lawyers Chen and Liang provided a detailed interpretation of the key content of the newly revised "Charity Law" and combined it with hot-button cases to help community charity fund members and community volunteer leaders better understand specific aspects such as charitable organizations, charitable assets, and information disclosure. This enhanced their understanding of the "Charity Law" and further raised their awareness of participating in social governance and social services in accordance with the law. At the same time, it also enabled them to better utilize legal knowledge to protect their own rights and interests.
