To support the healthy development of Taiwan-funded enterprises in Panyu District, Guangzhou, and enhance their ability to address legal risks related to labor employment, the Panyu District Taiwan Affairs Office of Guangzhou, the Panyu Branch of the Guangzhou Taiwan-funded Enterprise Association, and the Labor Law Department of Guangdong Hebang Law Firm jointly organized a sharing and exchange session on the afternoon of June 21, 2024, at the Haiyue Hall of the Kehaiyue Hotel in Panyu District, Guangzhou. The session was themed "Handling and Prevention of Frequently Occurring Labor Employment Cases in Enterprises". The aim of the event was to assist Taiwan-funded enterprises in optimizing and standardizing their employment management, resolving historical issues related to employment, and effectively preventing or reducing the occurrence of labor dispute cases.
 
Over the past four decades since the reform and opening-up, Taiwanese businesses and enterprises have played an irreplaceable role in the economic and social development of the mainland. As times change, how to seize the opportunities presented by technological innovation, industrial upgrading, and green transformation has become a crucial issue for Taiwanese-funded enterprises to achieve high-quality development. Against this backdrop, this sharing and exchange meeting is particularly important.
 
 

At the beginning of the sharing session, Huang Qian, the host of the exchange and sharing meeting and secretary of the Panyu Taiwan Association, introduced the leaders and important guests who attended. They were: Cai Jianwen, president of the Panyu Branch of Guangzhou Taiwan-funded Enterprise Association; He Jianya, secretary-general of the Panyu Branch of Guangzhou Taiwan-funded Enterprise Association; Li Qianling, researcher of the Panyu District Taiwan Affairs Office of Guangzhou; and Xiao Ying, section chief .....
 

Before the sharing session began, Cai Jianwen, President of the Panyu Branch of the Guangzhou Taiwan-funded Enterprise Association, delivered an important speech on how enterprises can cope with market changes under the current economic situation, how the Chinese government can strengthen support for enterprises, and how the association can increase assistance to its members.
 
Subsequently, Li Shenjian, the director of the Labor Law Department at Guangdong Hebang Law Firm, first shared his insights on how enterprises can optimize their employment practices under the current economic situation. He emphasized that enterprises should consider their specific circumstances to enhance operational efficiency and adjust employment strategies. Furthermore, by presenting practical case studies, he provided valuable advice on integrating operational departments, implementing job adjustments and incentives, fostering multi-skilled employees, and outsourcing labor services.
 
 
 

Next, lawyer Li Shenjian summarized his experience in handling cases in recent years and proposed specific solutions and coping strategies for enterprises facing historical issues related to social security and housing provident fund, in order to avoid triggering corporate crises and social problems.
 
Finally, regarding the prevention of employee work-related injury cases and occupational disease hazard cases, lawyer Li provided a detailed introduction to relevant laws and regulations, preventive measures, and how to handle such cases when they occur, based on relevant cases. He suggested that enterprises should strengthen pre-emptive prevention, improve safety production management, enhance employees' safety awareness and operational skills, and reduce the occurrence of work-related injuries and occupational diseases from the source.
 
 

In addition, the sharing session also facilitated on-site discussions and exchanges regarding other dispute cases. The participating enterprise representatives expressed that the content of this sharing session was rich and highly practical, which was of great significance for improving the employment management level of enterprises and preventing legal risks.
 
After the meeting, Cai Jianwen, President of the Panyu District Taiwan Affairs Office of Guangzhou and the Panyu Branch of the Guangzhou Taiwan-funded Enterprise Association, stated that the lecture sharing was very successful. He will continue to strengthen cooperation with Guangdong Hebang Law Firm to provide Taiwan-funded enterprises with higher quality and more comprehensive services, inject new productive forces into the enterprises, and help them achieve healthy, stable, and sustainable development.
